Livonia Police Department

On April 18, 2018 the Livonia Police Department arrested Robert Alderton age 37, of Redford Township on two outstanding warrants for Larceny in connection with the recent thefts of lottery tickets from Livonia gas stations.

In both of the Livonia cases Alderton is alleged to have walked into a gas station, selected a soft drink and then asked the clerk for lottery tickets. When the clerk handed him the lottery tickets he ran out the door without paying for them.

Alderton’s luck ran out on April 3rd when he was arrested by Redford Township police after allegedly committing a similar crime in Redford. Livonia Detectives were able to link Alderton to the Livonia crimes and obtained two arrest warrants charging him with Larceny.

Alderton was arraigned in the 16th District Court on April 19, 2018 and is scheduled to appear for a pretrial on May 8th at 9:30 a.m.

Livonia Police Department

On April 9th, Livonia Officers were called to the area of 29912 Orangelawn on a suspicious persons report. The Reporting Person observed two black males by a vehicle and they ran away once they saw him taking out his trash. While officers were talking to the Reporting Person, a Toyota Corolla began approaching them on Orangelawn. The vehicle stopped, a subject got out of the passenger seat, and immediately entered a 2010 Ford Escape. The Escape started up right away and the two vehicles drove away together. The officers went to investigate this and they located the Toyota unoccupied around the corner. At that time it was determined that the Toyota was entered as stolen out of Romulus. They then heard a crash which was the freshly stolen Ford Escape crashing into a parked car. The Escape was located and it crashed again at the entrance to LA Fitness. After a short foot pursuit, Coranthos Reed was arrested.

REED, Coranthos Lee Age 18 of Inkster, Michigan

REED is charged with one count of Larceny and one count UDDA and two counts of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property (a motor vehicle) and one count of Unlawful Use of A Motor Vehicle.

Bond was set at $100,000 Cash and he is scheduled to appear at a Probable Cause Conference in the 16th District Court on April 19, 2018 at 9 a.m.

Wow, they didn't see the police officers there talking to the person that called and still went back to get the Escape 😳 good job LPD keep up the good work keeping our city as safe as you can.

Thank you LPD! Per usual, it always pays when we go to the polls people to keep this in mind. Our PD needs our backing too. Having a well funded force is extremely important to every city! Thanks again to the men and women of LPD!!

Another Great Job by our Livonia Police Officers!!

Hey look, "See something, Say something" actually works. More people should try it.

Proud to live in an awesome city with the best police around!

Another example of great police work by LPD officers!

Another waste of a young mans life. Too bad

This used to be one of the safest cities to live in, now not so much. The brazenness of these criminals is astounding lately.

Good Job..πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™ Now if only he goes to jail or prison for a long time and not just get probation.... obviously he wasn't raised with a fear and a foot in his rear

He was looking for a summer home now he has one county jail

Doesn't get any better than LPD.

Awesome job LPD! Keep up the great work and stay safe.
