2019 Arrest Data
Within the calendar year of 2019 the Livonia Police Department effected 4,700 arrests. This information is based upon requests by the community.
Arrest data is broken down by race, with the predominant races being black and white.
Additionally, arrests are categorized as dispatched via 9-1-1 and other call types or on-view/self-initiated.
A dispatch arrest would involve a 9-1-1 call or other situation where a police officer is sent to investigate a reported crime where the subject is already being detained by private security or another police agency. Examples of these arrests are shoplifting or warrant pick ups.
On-view arrests are arrests made as a result of a street-level investigation conducted by a police officer. Examples of these arrests are Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated or Violation of Concealed Pistol Permit.
